Obituary - Pr DRISSA DIAKITE

The RASP learned with great consternation and deep emotion of the sad news about Professor Drissa Diakité, who died on Friday, July 1, 2022, following a long illness.

Historian, and retired professor of higher education, Drissa DIAKITE has served the Malian education system as a teacher at EnSup, Dean of the Faculty of Letters, Languages, Arts and Human Sciences of the University of Bamako (FLASH) and Technical Advisor to the Ministers in charge of Higher Education and Scientific Research. His commitment and his remarkable work on our country's history and his works have earned him international fame and the rank of Officer of the National Order of Mali and inspired several generations of researchers.

In this sad and painful circumstance, the RASP offers its deepest condolences to the family of the illustrious deceased. May his soul rest in peace and may the earth be light to him.
